InterQoS – Strategy Enterprise Game for Price and QoS Negotiation on the Internet1

چکیده

This paper discusses strategies issues for negotiating price and QoS guarantees between telecommunication companies, ISP (Internet Service Provider) and Internet users. There is an increase in telecom infrastructure cost when QoS guarantees are offered and, consequently, a conflict between providers and users of the system arises. Another important question is about end-toend pricing since QoS guarantees have to be allocated end-to-end. This usually involves money repass to telecom and providers companies that are participating in the end-to-end solution. We elaborated a strategy game called InterQoS. The main objective of this game is to identify and treat technology and pricing problems boosted by adding QoS in the Internet. The idea of the InterQoS game is to provide an environment where players can experiment strategies in order to evaluate their decisions and actions.
